Claribel Gross is a multi-disciplinary theatre artist, director and teacher. She has a strong passion for creating new collaborative work with a diverse range of communities.
She is a founding member of an arts collective called The Midwives, whose mission is to nurture the public creative spirit and see the artist in everyone.
Teaching Superpower: “Encouraging collaboration and getting young artists invested in the work they are creating.”
“TAT Lab offered me so many wonderful things,” writes Gross. “I STILL use the lesson planning activity sheet. It helps me hone in on the ‘Big Idea’ and gives me a clear way to organize my activities and plans for every class. A moment in TAT Lab that I'll never forget and that I still think about today is the way the facilitators would pump each other and all the participants up by saying ‘you're great, you're great, you're great!’ and high fiving in the air.”
