R.I.S.E. Award Spotlight: Mr. Pleasant

Mr. Pleasant is a creative music and movement instructor who has worked with many different organizations before founding the PleasantMovement dance company in 2013.

Teaching Superpower: “My Superpower is cultivating confidence in any environment. My personal Power is my positivity and the ability to bring LIGHT to people.”

PeasantMovement dance, based in Tacoma, was founded on the idea: "It's Not Just Dance, It's a MOVEMENT!" They have performed for many different events such as The Puyallup Fair, The Ethnic Fest, and many more. In 2015, PleasantMovement was introduced to "Art-Infused Learning" and reinvented their mission around their strength: "Cultivate Confidence in any Environment through Movement!" The constant smiles on faces and testimonials of people exiting their comfort zones during PleasantMovement programs was indication that they were on the right path.

What is your favorite part of the TAT Lab Core Program so far? “The aspect of GLEANING from so many experts in the artistic arena. I love it.”
